Like the gentleman who tweeted, I fail to see why some 1200 so 'academics and fellow travellers' piled in on this letter and it's authors.

The twitter mob is very reminiscent of past mobs which burnt torches and indeed people who questioned the views of the mob.

Even worse is the inability and/or unwillingness to explain why this mob took umbrage.

I suspect this is a local expression of Critical Race Theory coupled with the cancel culture of the wokerati
