A waitress who claims she was fired after posting a video of herself wearing a "inappropriate" crop top to work has spoken out on social media about her ordeal.

Vanessa Zavala was in tears as she described the way her bosses had called her shirt "ugly" in a video posted to popular app TikTok this month.

Unfortunately for Vanessa, other users posted the name of the restaurant in the comments section beneath the video, according to the Mirror.

Vanessa has since posted a second clip in which she says she has now been fired from her job after the restaurant discovered the video.

In her first viral video, Vanessa said: "I got sent home for my top because they didn't like my top.

"I work at this bar, restaurant, club thing where b*****s will show up in corsets and lingerie tops to work but my long-sleeved crop top shirt is f****** ugly and inappropriate.

"This restaurant has paintings of naked girls on the walls, it doesn't make any sense."

A further video detailed how Vanessa had been fired, though she didn't seem particularly sad at this result.

She said: "I showed up to work... and they fired me. I'm so happy, this is the best day ever.

They said because of my TikTok and someone commented the name of the restaurant under the TikTok and I'm fired and now I don't have a job."

The incident has come only a month after a British woman claimed she was refused service in a Wetherspoons pub in Reading due to her clothing.

Mollie Wood told how she was informed by a male manager that she would not be served in the pub because her cleavage showing was "equal to a man being shirtless".

20-year-old Mollie described how the bar boss, in his 30s, told her he had refused service all day to men without tops.
