Ukraine is closely monitoring the court case on the 2014 crash of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17, which continues in the Netherlands, and hopes for Russia's cooperation with investigators in this case to find out the truth and bring the perpetrators to justice. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky on the day of the seventh anniversary of the crash of MH17 flight. 

"The world and Ukraine remember the 298 victims of "Malaysia Airlines". Bringing those responsible for the crash to justice is important not only for the relatives of the victims, but also for future generations,"Zelensky said.

As we reported earlier, the plane was destroyed while performing a regular flight from the Netherlands to Malaysia in July 2014.

The tragedy took place in the sky over the militant-held section of the Donetsk region, not far from Snizhne town.

All 298 people aboard deceased; most of the victims, 196, were Dutch, but there were citizens of another nine countries as well.
