ut-takes from my feature documentary about deep topographer Nick Papadimitriou, the London Perambulator (2009). This video follows a walk following a water main from Stonebridge Park to Perivale in June 2008. We walk along the North Circular to the River Brent then turn into Wycombe Road. We follow the water main through the industrial estates that line the Grand Union Canal before emerging on the A40 Western Avenue in front of the Hoover Building at Perivale. The video also includes an unseen out-take from the interview with Will Self describing Nick's work. Nick and Will have been friends for a number of years and Nick did research for Will Self's, The Book of Dave. The London Perambulator was shot over a year between January 2008 and January 2009 and premiered at the Whitechapel Gallery in the East End Film Festival in April 2009. The screening was followed by a discussion panel with Will Self, Iain Sinclair and John Rogers chaired by Dr Andrea Phillips from Goldsmiths College London. The film also screened at London International Documentary Festival, Curzon Soho, Cine City Brighton Film Festival, Cork International Festival, and Transartfest, Art Biennial, Berlin ... among others.
