Sally Sitou is now MP-Elect for the inner Sydney electorate of Reid. She has turned a marginal Liberal seat held by former Liberal Member Fiona Martin to a seat that is hers. She also joins a small cohort "Class of 2022" of Asian Australian MPs who will be part of the 47th Parliament. In saying this Sitou shows her humbleness and graciousness by making a lovely reply to Martin's concession Twitter speech. Keep in mind prior to the election, Martin mistook Sitou on a radio debate for another Asian Australian Tu Le who was the hopeful Labor candidate for Fowler, before Kristina Keneally was parachuted in and lost the seat to Independent Dai Le. Martin never apologised and instead doubled down after the incident. So seeing all this, Sitou has just shown her class! Here is the exchange:
