He is 5 years younger than his friend Mark Andrew Mazza of Shelbyville, Indiana, USA. On January 6, 2021, he went to the U.S. Capitol building in Washington, D.C., USA with Mazza, who was armed with a firearm. That day, Donald Trump supporters breached the building while a joint session of Congress was certifying the vote of the Electoral College and affirming Joe Biden's victory in the 2020 presidential election. On November 19, 2021, he falsely denied entering the tunnel area of the U.S. Capitol building in Washington, D.C. or being involved in any violence against officers on January 6, 2021 in an interview with Federal Bureau of Investigation agents in Louisville. On February 23, 2022, he was subpoenaed to attend the grand jury in Washington, D.C. in the case against Mazza and was provided subject warnings. He declined an offer to obtain counsel on his behalf or to have one appointed for him. On March 3, 2022, he denied entering the tunnel area of the U.S. Capitol building in Washington, D.C. or being involved in any violence against officers on January 6, 2021 in another interview with FBI agents. In a criminal information filed on September 20, 2022, he was charged with interfering with law enforcement officers during a civil disorder for his participation in the U.S. Capitol riot on January 6, 2021. On October 21, 2022, he pleaded guilty to interfering with law enforcement officers during a civil disorder.  On January 24, 2023, U.S. District Court Judge James E. Boasberg sentenced him to 366 days in prison. He was 51 years old when he was sentenced on January 24, 2023 to 1 year and 1 day in prison. (This is a developing story. More details are being added.)
