Authorities in Poland say a British man died after being shot 22 times in 90 minutes at a shady strip club.
Due to regional privacy rules, the victim, 36-year-old Mark C, has only been identified as Mark C. Last month, he and a buddy were out on a night out in Krakow when they went to a club called Wild Nights.
Investigators said Mark was already drunk and, having been lured in by free entry, tried to refuse the drinks repeatedly offered to him by members of staff.
However, he was plied with 22 powerful shots before he collapsed and later died.
Poland's National Prosecutor's Office said the tourist had a blood alcohol content of at least 0.4%, which is considered lethal.
According to Polish authorities, Mark was robbed of 2,200 złoty – the equivalent of £420 – while he was unconscious.
Last Thursday, police said they had charged 58 people with being part of organised crime group following a series of raids on nightclubs.
The Polish Central Police Investigation Bureau (CBSP) said the clubs ran a racket in which they would get customers drunk before stealing their money.

In a video that the agency made public, individuals were detained as electronic equipment, computers, money, and phones were seized from the locations.
The people who allegedly forced Mark to drink himself to death were among those detained, according to them.
'One of the leads studied by the detectives in the case concerns the victim who was driven to a level of intoxication, causing loss of consciousness, and subsequently death as a result of acute alcohol poisoning,' they said in a statement.
The man received no medical attention during the incident, they continued. Those suspected of committing this act were the subject of provisional arrests.
The probe is still ongoing and covers bars in both Krakow and Warsaw.
