Happy Book Birthday to this fantastic read! I absolutely adored it, and was hooked from the first page. The chemistry between Ellen and Edward was spot-on, and seeing the difference in her as she grew in terms of her self-esteem and as a person through Edward's heroic encouragement and love was a delight.
Of course the path of true love never runs smooth (and who would want to read that anyway), but the ups and downs that the couple go through as Edward tries to rescue her from the horrid Gainsborough are believable, and again, that chemistry is never far from the page.
This is the first in a series, and personally, I'm going to go and see what comes next, and follow the adventures of others in Ellen and Edward's world!
