The Miss Universe Switzerland 2023 coronation ceremony will take place at Hotel Hilton Geneve in Geneva, Switzerland on September 23, 2023. It is fourth third edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Switzerland's Miss Universe candidate and the second edition under Bernard Poffet's directorship.
On September 2, 2022, Alia Guindi of Valais was crowned Miss Universe Switzerland 2022 at La Marive in Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland. The respective first, second, third and fourth runners-up were Nicole Zimmermann of Fribourg, Tiphaine Sagne of Neuchâtel, Zolanny Encarnacion of Basel and Sashi Chiesa of Basel.
Switzerland was represented in Miss Universe by the winner of Miss Schweiz in 1953, from 1960 to 1990, from 1992 to 2013 and in 2018. Miss Universe Switzerland was won by Zoé Metthez of Zürich in 2014 and Dijana Cvijetić of St. Gallen in 2016.
Currently, Switzerland has 12 Miss Universe placements including the third runner-up finish of Lolita Morena in 1983 and the second runner-up finish of Lauriane Gilleron in 2006. The most recent one was in 2013 when Dominique Rinderknecht finished in the Top 16.
There are 15 women competing for the Miss Universe Switzerland 2023 crown. If facial beauty is the only criterion, these will be my Top 5 candidates:
