My 18th Christmas in Thailand and it still feels odd celebrating this particular holiday in a predominantly Buddhist country that is decidedly non-wintry. In Thai government schools, it is just another working day albeit with some form of celebration (a three- or four-day break occurs at the New Year itself). I have played Santa Claus for at least the past ten years and I can tell you that it is VERY HOT wearing that suit with the false beard. To see the joy on the faces of kids and adults alike when I enter the room, however, makes any discomfort worth it.
I am rather disappointed that I only finished half of my six-book November TBR:
I carried two of the unread books from last month to start off my December TBR as well as a couple of holdovers from earlier in the year. Add in a book about the history of Christmas and one on bullet journaling and it quickly became a six-book list. I may add another holiday-related title or two if I can get through these in a timely manner.
