Today in mass I remembered that yesterday while we were walking in downtown I noticed a homeless woman . I kept walking and tried to say hi but she didn't look at me. I felt I should have approached her and talked to her and ask her if she needs any food. So I prayed for her in mass and asked Jesus for forgiveness. In the Gospel, I took a screenshot of "Jesus said to them in reply " What are you thinking in your hearts" and discussed it with my family. He speaks to us in our hearts . This afternoon, I went out of my way to do extra chore for someone I love and because of that, I got prompted to pass by Saint Lucy to see if they have any Advent reflections. Right near the church I saw 2 people homeless pushing carts. I realized that it is not coincidence and God is giving me another opportunity. I went down the car and started talking to them. The man wanted to go inside the church and the woman pointed to me to accompany him but it happened there is remodeling going on and we couldn't go. I chatted a bit with them, they asked me about the train station and gave them water. I gave them some cash and told them to get some sandwiches. After they left, I went behind the church to look for the books and while leaving I saw the heart in a bare tree. When I read the little note on it, I know this is the heart of Jesus , my mom her birthday is the same day as the Feast of Saint Lucy . Jesus and my mom were the ones who put the quilted heart there. Thank you for this great project, Brought so much joy to my heart
