I probably should have posted this yesterday but here is my 2023 year in review.
January- An unforgettable time in Tanzania courtesy of Dashir Lodge. A safari experience that was more than we had ever dreamed it could be.
February- We spent the month in Cape Town South Africa and learned all about its history, culture and geography.
March -I am busy with many school visits as a result of my novel Lost on the Prairie being nominated for a Manitoba Young Readers Choice Award.
April- I launch my new novel Sixties Girl at McNally Robinson Booksellers with the wonderful Colleen Nelson as the host.
May- We welcome a beautiful new granddaughter into the world and into our family.
June- I say farewell to my job at the Winnipeg Art Gallery after ten wonderful years of working there.
July- Dave and I spend three marvellous weeks in France.
August- Our children and grandchildren plan a fabulous 50th anniversary party for us at a cabin in the Qu'Appelle Valley we have rented as a family
September- We travel to Saskatchewan to visit our children and grandchildren and attend an end of life celebration I have planned for a beloved aunt
October- I appreciate the different celebrations with friends and family in honour of my 70th birthday.
November- We enjoy regular times with our granddaughter on outings to Fort Whyte, to visit playgrounds, going to the Children's Museum and attending her third birthday party.
December- It's great to get together with friends and family to celebrate the season including with the members of my writing group. I've been meeting with them regularly for almost a decade.
2023 was certainly memorable in so many ways.
I'm looking forward to what 2024 will bring.
