| @annozijlstra Jan 1 | Israel: 'Part of Gaza troops will prepare for the Lebanon front' An Israeli army official tells the Reuters news agency that some of the troops withdrawing from Gaza will prepare for a possible second front near Lebanon. Hezbollah militants regularly fire rockets at Israel on the northern border with Israel. The Israeli army often responds with counterattacks. Last week, Prime Minister Netanyahu warned Hezbollah that if they do not stop the attacks, a full-scale war is on the horizon. "If Hezbollah expands its warfare, it will suffer blows it never imagined – and that includes Iran," Netanyahu said. Hezbollah supports Hamas in the war against Israel. Both groups are again supported by Iran, Israel's arch enemy. Other Iranian allies, such as groups in Yemen and Syria, have also attacked Israeli targets. | | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
