| graham mcquade February 1 | We headed on down to Udaipur, a small city set amid a number of man made lakes on which the second largest palace in India is cited. This palace is on lake Pichola and as luck would have it our hotel was on the opposite shore. It took me a lot of searching to get a view, but at last I found a landing stage that looked out across the lake. Unfortunately some of the palace was obscured by an Island, so instead I sat on a bench and took in a different view and spent the early morning on this little sketch. From time to time guests for a wedding arrived by boat, dressed in their elaborate clothes. It was lovely to sit in the calm of the morning and take in the gentle views.
