New faces on the horizon - Dog Park with three new tracks from their upcoming debut album, slated to drop in April.
Dog Park are from Paris, but they come from all over the place. They all met during a concert in Paris in 2021 and formed a fast and furious bond. Writing, woodshedding, practicing and recording, all during the Pandemic and lockdown of 2021.
When venues opened back up and masks became optional, they finally emerged with two singles; one issued in 2022 and the other in the Spring of 2023. Both managed to catch the eye and ears of a receptive audience and have been building a following ever since.
Characterized as Dreampop, Dog Park's early gigs have been successful and prompted them to secure gigs at such prestigious venues as La Boule Noir and the Auditorium of the Louis Vuitton Foundation - both in Paris. They have also secured "band to watch" status among the Parisian press.
Their debut album, Festina Lente has been getting positive pre-release reactions - the ten track album is something of tour de force, showcasing a wide range of instrumental talents as well as a seamless cooperative writing ability.
The end result is some very engaging work, certainly worthy of repeat listening, further investigation and once again proving evidence that the entire world is actively making and producing good music.
Press Play on the tracks above and have a listen - fingers crossed they record some live gigs in the future - I will definitely keep you posted. Festina Lente is coming out on April 19 from Geographie Records in Paris
In the meantime - bon appetit!

That's why Past Daily is here - we're not here to hustle you for money for things you don't want or need - we're not here to trash anybody or anything or get you outraged - we're here to turn you on to things that might, just possibly, add something to your life. That's the deal and that's why becoming a subscriber to Patreon - or even kicking in a few bucks via PayPal or Buy Me A Coffee is crucial and your way of keeping us up and running every day.
