Meeghan prompt of sporty books Not sure read many sporty books; so inspired by this year's Book Cllub challenge including titles which alludes to sport / playing AND they are not necessarily favourites.
Book Cllub challenge info
1. A proper sport book to start . Alex Calvo Garcia auto biography. I was gripped from the first line "Foorball is a game that is played in England at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon" and I read it all in one sitting.
2. Perfect match - Jodi Piccoult.
3. How to Play Dead by Jaqueline Walker. About a domestic support walker facing abuse issues at work and in personal life. Some interesting parts but, annoying when protagonist going against advice giving other women.
4 . Read this for aforementioned challenge:
Ahead of the Game by JD Kirk. A police investigation into a murder. It was ok to read, but not bothered about reading any more from the series.
5. Read for the same challenge:
The Cheerleaders by Kara Thomas. It is about the deaths of 5 cheerleaders in a short space of time and whether they are linked. Of course US school; I get a little co fused about seniors, freshmen's, home coming etc! But an engaging read to find out what happened.
