Today we ride the Star Ferry across Victoria Harbor from Hong Kong to Kowloon. This service has been in operation since 1888. Popular with tourists and locals. Research says the ferry service carries over 70,000 passengers per day.
The upper deck was a good choice. Only 2.6 HKD return and easy to pay with our Octopus Card. We rushed ahead of the crowd to catch a seat by the water. Popular spot for Tourists.
A short 15 minute walk from our Ibis Hotel Sheung Wan to Pier 7 on the waterfront. The walk itself was enjoyable with great views along the way.
Zoological Botanical Garden -Yesterday we went on an easy bus ride as I say... tough part is the steep climb up the hill to the Park entry. Located on the Northern slope of Victoria Peak. Founded in 1864, originally developed for plants. Best part of this walk is the garden. Large collection of palm trees, bamboo, shrubs and a massive ancient herb garden. Over 1000 species of plants. Rare a gorgeous collection of Camellia.
An African spurred Tortoise and he is looking sad.
Approaching the Western side of the park we hear the howling sounds. It is actually seeing these monkeys swinging from tree to tree. There are buffed cheeky Gibbons
