I've neglecting the blog recently. Not intentionally, real life has simply got in the way and before I knew it we are nearly at the end of July. July has been full on too, but we'll save that for the next post.
Reading wise it wasn't as busy for me as May, but May was an outlier for me. There were a nice number of great sounding books that arrived so all in all I can't really grumble.
Here's what arrived:
- Domadomadoma Blumblumblum by Luke Thompson, sent for review by Ortac.
- The Jealousy Man by Jo Nesbo, one I purchased.
- Lula Dean's Little Library of Banned Books by Kirsten Miller, kindly sent to me by fellow reviewer Victoria.
- Things We Do For Love by Miranda Dickenson, sent for review by HQ
- Meet Me in Ivy Falls by Amy True, sent for review by Canelo.
- We'll Prescribe You a Cat by Syou Ishida, sent for review by Transworld.
- This is Fine by Poorna Bell, sent for review by Century.
- Stories for Summer and Days by the Pool by various.
- Lessons in Crime by various. Both of these were sent for review by The British Library.
- The Lotus Shoes by Jane Yang, sent for review by Sphere.
- Seven Lively Suspects by Katy Watson, sent for review by Constable.
- Shrouded by Solveig Palsdottir, sent for review by Corylus.
- The Midnight Feast by Lucy Foley, sent for review by Harper Collins.
- Cursed Under London by Gaby Hutchinson Crouch, sent for review by Farrago.
- The Days I Loved You Most by Amy Neff, sent for review by Bloomsbury.
- A Gravelly Troubling Discovery by Hannah Hendy.
- The Vanishing Act by Sarah Ward.
- Death Rites by Sarah Ward. These last three were sent for review by Canelo.
Here's what I read:
- French Windows by Antoine Laurain.
- Green Frog by Gina Chung.
- The Broken Afternoon by Simon Mason.
- The Wrong Hands by Mark Billingham.
- Seven Lively Suspects by Katy Watson.
So that's 18 in and 5 out. Nowhere near balanced. I see a book clear out in my future though so one of these months it will be equal.
I hope you enjoyed whatever you read in June.
