Despite being too sleepy to surpass much more than my goal of one hundred pages on most evenings in June, I still managed to complete eight out of the nine books on the month's TBR list which I found to be quite an achievement.
For July, I have chosen a much more manageable six books to read including The 71/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle which I failed to finish in June. I already started reading a history of the myths surrounding the Declaration of Independence and associated symbols such as the Liberty Bell and Uncle Sam. This inspired my patriotic theme for this month in my bullet journal and I may add another book on the early history of the U.S. before the month is out. I was torn between two books for July's Crossing Continents Challenge -- a book set in Australia -- so I have decided to read both. One work will qualify for the Bookish Books reading challenge and there is a modern classic which I am surprised that I have never read before.
Which, if any, of these books have you read? What are you planning to read in July? Do you have any favorite books about the American Revolution? Please let me know by commenting below.
