Almost 15 miles one way the bike trail passes a number of beaches where you can stop for a break.  The bar in Captree State Park in Long Island.... And for sure if you keep going you will end in Captree State Park where a beer in front of the boats aligned in the harbor ready to take you fishing will be your award after the long ride.  with a band playing by the Captree fleet. And if you bike toward the end of the week and arrive at the right time a band playing rock will welcome you and it will make you stay longer than expected before you decide to take the trail back to your parked car at Jones Beach Theater for another 15 miles.
