Straight in with tonal washes and then picking out the structure in shapes of colour. . Well, that's what happens at the start with the head and upper torso but the process is less strong as I move down the body. It is a little different to my previous practice of preliminary drawing - these just grow from washes of pastel. Because the process gets weaker as I get more tired and less disciplined, I am thinking of letting the bottom half drift into sketch whilst focussing even more on the top part of the body.
