Two people arrested after the seizure of 133,600 euros worth of cannabis in Dublin have been indicted and will appear in court on Tuesday.

After conducting a series of raids in the Blanchardstown area yesterday, the police found 6.68 kilograms of cannabis and arrested a 22-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman.

Gardaí said the operation was conducted against people suspected of participating in organized crime in the area.

The operation was led by the Garda National Agency for Narcotics and Organized Crime. The police from the Blanchard Town Drug Department and the Tax and Customs Administration searched some premises in the Blanchard Town area.

In a statement today, a garda spokesman said the two people arrested will now be brought before the courts.

"Both the man and woman are due to appear before Blanchardstown District Court on Tuesday 27th July 2021 at 10.30am.

"Investigations are ongoing."
